The weather finally caught up to us today and our views during breakfast were mainly of rain and fog. We were determined not to be cooped up indoors on our final day in Canmore, however, and when the rain slowed after breakfast, we set out on foot for Mount Lady MacDonald. We were well dressed for the conditions and the hiking was beautiful as we climbed into the low hanging clouds. The at-times eerie feeling, and always surreal experience of hiking in the clouds left the students with many unforgettable memories, as the hike ended up being extremely enjoyable, something which some may have doubted when we headed out in the pouring rain some hours earlier. After hiking back to the hostel the students prepared smoothies, hot chocolate, and popcorn for nice, cozy warm-up snacks, before packing their bags and getting ready for one final meal.
