Hike 5 - Lady MacDonald
Our last hike, Lady MacDonald, is ironically our tallest, although not the longest hike of the trip. Well maybe it is almost the longest, given that we walk to it from the hostel and return the same way, which is a couple of extra kilometres. This mountain is on the north side of Canmore and overlooks most of the Bow Valley. As it is our last hike, it is often the toughest, because our legs are pretty tired. One of the nicest things about the hike is that when we reach the top (well the first "top" anyway) there is a large wooden deck that was once imagined as a helicopter pad for a tea room that was never built. We had a great time relaxing on this deck in the sunshine before our hike down. Good times!
