HIke 4 - Johnston CAnyon
After the gruelling Heart Mountain hike, an easier day was in order. Johnston Canyon was just the ticket, even though it was busy and full of tourists. Johnston Canyon has two waterfalls, and if hiked to the end, you come to ink pots, which are spring fed pools that are amazing blues and greens due to the minerals in the water. It is about 5.5 km each way and was only 215m of elevation. This low elevation was just what our legs needed. A good walk to work them and warm them, but as we had Lady MacDonald the next day, it saved our legs for her, as she's a full 1000m of elevation. After our good hike, we went into Banff to explore and to enjoy the hot springs.
The photographer left his battery on the charger, so all pics were student pics and there aren't so many of them.
